National Livestock Show and Food Festival entered into its second day. With more and more cultural extravaganzas the mega event is creating a spell of celebration mood to the day by day increasing mob. A part from those entertainment and merchandises, the organisers conducted National Seminars on topics ‘Sustainable Livestock Development for Food Security‘ and ‘Priorities in National Livestock Production‘. Quiz programs for farmers and school children was also an added attraction.

Believe it or not, the event, ‘Breaking of coconuts by bare hands and head‘ by Keshab Swain from Limca Book of Records stood out of the crowd. The Folk Dances conducted by South Zone Cultural Centre displayed a variety of traditional folk dances performed by performers from Assam, Madhya Pradesh & Tamil Nadu. Among them the fire dance perfomance by a dancer became amuzement for the viewers.

The day ended peacefully by listening to the sweet sound of the ‘Nightingale of South India‘ Smt. K.S Chitra, through the Ganamela conducted by she and her group.

  3. yes, I also felt the same, the reception of this fest by the people has been nothing short of awesomeness…..every time I went near the ticket counter, i have been washed away by a sea of people!
