    maruthankuzhi….

  3. dont have any idea of this place :P

  4. Is this place of any historical significance ?

  5. sorry for this wild guess, is this place somewhere near plamood? :D

  6. From maruthankuzhi dam the water can be diverted through kochar up to “Padmatheerdham” lake in front of Padmanabha Swami Temple. Now Kochar became road and canal became narrow. It is a way to recharge pamatheerdham lake on deficiency of water. It is an urgent need of change of water from the lake periodically to purify it.

    Thanks all.

This is the footbridge across Killi river at Maruthamkuzhi (near Sasthamangalam).

Thanks keralafarmer for the additional information.

How nice it would be if the river is cleaned and a walkway built from Maruthannkuzhi upto Killippalam !!

What I meant was a walkway on the banks of the river on either side with small garden or hedges. Maintenance of different segments can be give to the community around the respective segment or the nearby residents’ association.

I agree with Prof.VHS. The community and the nearby resident’s association should jump into action. It’s such a pretty picture and neglect will spoil it’s face.
