ICCC – a highlight to the city

A public-private partnership venture, with Kerala Tourism holding 26% and Raheja Builders 74% shares is a 805 crore project. ICCC(International Convention Centre Complex), situated in an area of 56 acre plot is soon to become a global epicenter of business meets.The first phase of 205 crores will be completed in 2011 in a time-bound manner.
The foundation stone shall be laid on June 4th,2010.
In the first phase, an area of 3,10,000 sq.ft would be developed. This would include a convention center which could accommodate 1,100 persons and a 249-room 5 star hotel, 25 poolside luxurious cottages, marina, water sports facilities and parking facilities.
The convention center would be an asset to Kerala and would come in handy for the development of the proposed IT Tourism Corridor between Kazhakuttom and Kovalam
The ICCC will have the following facilities:
- Convention and Exhibition Hall
- Plenary Hall to accommodate 1500
- Hi-tech Hall
- 3 Meeting rooms, each to accommodate 75 persons
- 8 Meeting rooms, each to accommodate 30 persons
- A VIP room accommodate 50 persons
- Five star hotel with 250 rooms
- Marina & Water Sports Facilities
- 25 Luxury Cottages
- Gymnasium & SPA
- Retail Area
With the arrival of ICCC, it would attract international as well as domestic events and the unique facility would act as an anchor for other projects to develop and foster tourism in the region.
