The 38th Kendriya vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) regional Science Exhibition started off yesterday at Kendriya vidyalaya Pattom.

Around 60 schools will take part in the two day exhibition. The Exhibition is titled ‘Science and Technology for challenges of life ‘. The exhibition was inaugurated by Chief Conservator of Forest K.P Ouspeh in a function presided over by C.P Kumaran, Principal of the school.

The exhibition includes static and working models prepared by high school and higher secondary school students in six different sub-themes including biodiversity, agriculture, green energy, transport and communication, community health and environment and mathematical modelling.

The nest models exhibited will be awarded prizes by Water Resources Department Principal Secretary L. Radhakrishnan. Winners will represent the Chennai region at the national level exhibition to be held in Hyderabad in October. A quiz competition related to science and technology will be held on Thursday.
