Concrete crash!

This was the scene of a potentially catastrophic crash that happened at the Chakkai -Airport road, yesterday at around 20:00 hrs , A 20 tonne fully laden concrete truck doing around 70 kmph took the curve , lost control and hit the median causing the truck to topple over . Luckily there were no fatalities and the driver escaped the incident with minor injuries.
This incident points out the fact that this 1.5 km stretch of straight smooth road is one of the few straight uninterrupted stretches we have in the city. The downside to this is that almost all the speed freaks in the city turn out here to satisfy their” need for speed”! . With speeds varying from 100-200 k normal people unlucky enough to be commuting the stretch at the wrong time may find themselves being pulled into high speed crashes unless the issue is addressed and a solution found very quickly.
