Conscientia 2012 – IIST Annual technology and astronomy festival is back

Indian Institute of Space Science Technology (IIST) is organizing its annual technology and astronomy festival – Conscientia 2012. This is one of the mightiest technological events held in God’s Own Country and is also the only festival in the country with an entire section devoted to astronomy and space sciences. Conscientia 2012 will be starting from March 1 and culminating on March 4at IIST, Trivandrum. Conscientia is all about sharing knowledge and what could be better than this platform for all those special breeds to reawaken their greatest weapon of knowledge – curiosity.

Conscientia will host events ranging from RC plane to robo-wars, hacking to cracking, mechanisms to electric circuits. The only beauty pageant in Kerala that mainly focuses on the physical beauty of its contestants, although such contestants often incorporate personality, talent and answer to the judges’ question as judged criteria. SOME FACTS DOWN THE MEMORY LANE:

Miss Kerala 2010 was held on 5th August 2010. Kochi hosted 2010 Miss Kerala contest. Registration for Miss Kerala 2010 was completed only around July 2010. There was a peculiarity for this Miss Kerala 2010 contest. It was the 10th Miss Kerala contest. Miss Kerala beauty contests were started by the year 1999, Miss Kerala 2004 and Miss Kerala 2006 were not conducted due to some reasons. It makes Miss Kerala 2010 as the 10th Miss Kerala beauty contest.

MISS KERALA 2010 WINNER:

Hair O Max Miss Kerala 2010 Miss Indu Thampi was selected as Miss Kerala 2010. Winner among the 22 Miss Kerala 2010 contestants. Miss Indu Thampi had pursued B.A. degree from AllSaints College Trivandrum. Miss Indu Thampi has joined for her post graduation in the same college then. Her father is a business man. Indu’s Sister Miss Rashmi had also participated in the Miss Kerala 2010 beauty contest.

As part of the Miss Kerala 2010 contest, Miss Indu Thampi was at Ernakulam for a few more days for the save a girl child campaign.

The first runners up of Hair O Max Miss Kerala 2010 was Miss Manju Raj. Miss Sonal Devraj was selected as the second runner up of Miss Kerala 2010 beauty contest.

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, a premier institution under the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is organizing its annual technology and astronomy festival, Conscientia 2011. This festival is the only fest in the country with an entire section devoted to astronomy and space sciences. It is being held from 3rd to 6th March 2011 at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Events
From RC planes to robo-wars, from hacking to cracking, from mechanisms to electric circuits, Conscientia’s events are sure to enthrall any genre of students. Add to this, a total prize money of worth Rs. 3,00,000 and you have one of the largest technical festivals in the country.

Workshops
