Alliance Française de Trivandrum in association with the Embassy of France in India and Kerala Chalachitra Academy
as part of the International Women’s Day Celebrations presents “ASIAN WOMEN’S FILM FESTIVAL” at Kalbhavan Theatre on 13 and 14 March,2010.
The film Festival showcases an incredible package of more than 20 documentary films by some of the most famous Women directors - Meena Nanji, Paromita Vohra ,Priyanka Chhabra and Kavitha Pai for example. A special session is dedicated to the new genre of Malayalam filmmakers like Sangeetha, Sreebala K Menon and Geethu Mohandas .
An opportunity to interact with the filmmakers will be provided through the open forum organized alongside the festival . It will be moderated by Ms Beena Paul Venugopal and attended by eminent personalities, prominent among whom are well known French writer Dominique Hoeltgen, Sangeetha Padmanabhan, Sreebala K Menon, Geethu Mohandas, Anjali Menon, J. Geetha, Ahsam and Asha Joseph.
There wont be any entry fees for the film festival.
