Bakery Fly Over inaugurated

Atlast Bakery Flyover become a reality. Chief Minister Sri V.S. Achuthanandan today inaugurated the Fly over in a grand function organized here.

.

People poured in from different part of the city to attend the inaugural function.

.

Some people  including me found it more interesting to have a walk through the flyover than attending the function where our political leaders were boasting about how they completed the 500m flyover in 5 years.

.

The inaugural function saw the political leadership fighting among themselves to grab the credit of the construction of the first Flyover in the state.  Built on 13 concrete piers, the 510-metre-long flyover has an 11-metre-wide carriageway with concrete crash barriers on both sides. The 14-span bridge will be exclusively for vehicles and out of bounds for pedestrians.

Ha Ha! I liked your statement ‘Some people including me found it more interesting to have a walk through the flyover than attending the function where our political leaders were boasting about how they completed the 500m flyover in 5 years. Says a lot about the orientation of our leaders. If we work at this pace, it will take 100 years to put up a decent infrastructure (at least compared to what is available in states like TN and Gujarat) in the state. By that time of course the other states would have taken to the skies. Viva la Left Front…
