Attukal Pongala 2010: Festival @ Trivandrum

Attukal Pongala celebrations, the much awaited 10-day festival at the Attukal Devi Temple is starting this weekend on February 20, 2010. The Pongala is on February 28, Sunday.
Various cultural programmes will be held on all days of the festival at the two venues inside the temple complex. Malayalam film actor Jayaram will inaugurate the cultural programmes on February 20. Kappukettu will be on February 21.

Thanks for the information on the Pongala. I will be in Trivandrum over the weekend and want to attend some of the cultural events. Is there a listing somewhere that lets me know what is happening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday? Also, since I understand that this is mainly a women’s festival, what can I attend as a member of the male sex (sorry about that thing between my legs).
