Kalavara Resturant: Good Food in Trivandrum Series
Hi to all! Hope I didn’t keep you waiting too long. Well here is my next review. Kalavara is a family restaurant located @ Kowdiar next to FabIndia and the Tennis Club. The restaurant is a small one but its well set up with beautifully arranged cabins which gives one their private space. The place is perfectly lighted and the walls are decorated with beautiful paintings.
The service is nice and doesn’t keep you waiting for your order and yet you needn’t hurry. I do agree the menu card looks pretty boring but like the old saying goes don’t judge a restaurant by its menu
The food is amazing! DONT forget to try out the KFC….dont get led on …its not the KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN but the KALAVARA FRIED CHCICKEN but its definitely finger lickin good!
The price on the menu card looks pretty high but so does the quantity.Yup, its definitely stomach filling and tasty and the bill then seems reasonable so be sure when you order.
Oh how could i forget the fried rice is also yummm………(a personal fav)
So get going…..try the menu and let me know your experience here.
Adios until I come up with my next review…..
Happy eating!!

First up in the series is Oasis hotel, which is located in Kedaram, one of the oldest shopping complexes (mall?) in Kesavadasapuram, Trivandrum. If you are on the lookout for a silent place to have lunch or dinner with your loved ones then you needn’t look further. Its known for its quiet ambience and ear soothing music. The cusine itself is wide ranged and the prices are pretty reasonable too. The one thing I personally like about this place is that you could do your shopping and when you are done(dead tired) you could just go and have a cup of coffee or even a nice spicy birayini (as per ur stomach’s grumbles). But I would also not recommend this place if you are really hungry as their serving times for some food items are slow.

Ustad Dilshad Khan and Begum Parveen Sultana took the humble population of Trivandrum to another plane with their heavenly rendition of hindustani classical music. The audience was spell bound for over two hours. They palyed a total of five selections including tow bhajans.
